The Advanced Academy Course Descriptions

The Ultimate Survival Program

Our most comprehensive preparedness course, combining survival, emergency response, first aid, food security, situational awareness, and self-reliance skills into one complete training program. Students learn how to prepare for and respond to a wide range of emergencies and disasters with confidence.

Emergency Preparedness

Learn how to plan for natural disasters, power outages, severe weather, supply shortages, and other emergencies. This course covers emergency planning, evacuation procedures, communication strategies, emergency kits, and family preparedness.

Wilderness Preparedness

Designed to help participants prepare for outdoor adventures and remote environments. Students learn essential planning, equipment selection, risk assessment, navigation, shelter systems, and emergency preparedness for wilderness travel.

Urban Survival

Focuses on preparedness and resilience in urban environments. Topics include situational awareness, personal security, emergency planning, resource management, transportation disruptions, and navigating city-based emergencies.

Wilderness Survival

A hands-on course teaching essential survival skills in remote environments. Students learn shelter building, fire craft, water procurement and purification, navigation, signaling, survival psychology, and emergency decision-making.

Fishing, Foraging & Hunting

Learn sustainable methods for acquiring food from natural environments. This course covers fishing techniques, edible plant identification, responsible foraging practices, hunting fundamentals, food processing, and safety considerations.

Urban Gardening & Agriculture

Designed for homes, apartments, and small spaces, this course teaches practical food production methods including container gardening, vertical growing systems, composting, soil health, and sustainable urban agriculture.

Gardening & Agriculture

A comprehensive introduction to food cultivation and agricultural practices. Students learn crop planning, soil management, irrigation, pest management, harvesting techniques, and sustainable food production strategies.

Advanced Safety

An in-depth safety program focused on risk assessment, hazard recognition, emergency procedures, personal protection, situational awareness, and safety leadership in both everyday and emergency situations.

First Aid Level 1

An introductory first aid certification course covering emergency scene assessment, CPR fundamentals, bleeding control, wound care, shock management, and responding to common medical emergencies.

First Aid Level 2

An advanced first aid course that expands on Level 1 skills with more detailed patient assessment, trauma care, medical emergency management, injury stabilization, and emergency response procedures.

Wilderness First Aid Level 1 & 2

Provides essential first aid training for remote and outdoor environments where professional medical assistance may be delayed. Students learn patient assessment, wound management, environmental injuries, and emergency care techniques.

Then it leads to an advanced wilderness medicine course focusing on prolonged patient care, remote evacuation planning, trauma management, environmental emergencies, decision-making in austere environments, and advanced wilderness rescue principles.
